P’dwagons went to a picnic on a beautiful summer day

To eat and chat and frolic in their very purple way.

Their play was interrupted by a frightening orange swarm

That blotted out the sun like a fluttering thunderstorm

Butterflies! the p’dwagons shrieked and fled the evil sight

All except for Nolly who was petrified with fright

Purple is the best, you know, purple wins the day

If you listen closely you can hear p’dwagons say…

Butterflies are twecharous and orange is the worst

The picnic was in ruins and the entire day was cursed

Nolly knew the day had come, he had to face his foes

When a humongous orange butterfly landed on his nose

Nolly gathered up his courage and let loose a magic spell

That sent those twecharous butterflies straight to purple … well…

P’dwagons all are babies and shouldn’t hear words like that,

But the butterflies all hit the ground with one gosh-awful splat

Purple is the best, you know, purple wins the day

Nolly is a hero and deserves a ginger beer.

P’dwagons now can picnic without a shred of fear.
